Building virtual memory palace
An interactive 3D tool to help you remember better using spatial memory
How it works
Example: Need to remember the Krebs Cycle?
Step 1 : Search
In the sidebar, search for an image that associates with the word you want to memorize.
For example, you may use an image of lemon for Citrate, and an image of isosceles triangle for Isocitrate.
Step 2 : Place
Drag the image into the room and edit the label. Place more images in different places of the room as you need.
You can always save everything you placed by clicking the "Save" button.
Step 3 : Explore
Explore your room. The more you explore , the more easily you will recall its contents on demand. Afterwards, you can mentally walk through the space to recall the information.
Memory Palace
Memory Palace is one of the most powerful memory techniques that has been used since ancient Rome. Human mind is extremely good at remembering places. Memory palace technique involves mentally associating items to specific locations of a place and using spatial cues for future recall.
Expanding on this concept, this interactive 3D tool helps our brain construct and visualize personalized “memory palace” more efficiently. You can easily make changes to your palace and visit whenever you want to refresh your memory.
